Back to Australia, back to Sydney.

We are back in Australia. We landed at Sydney Airport at 9am, after a short night, but not so bad, at the Air Lounge in Christchurch airport.

We are a bit sad to have left NZ but really happy to be back in Australia! Our plan for the next two days: having some rest, meeting with friends, and having a fancy dinner before leaving for our first wwoofing.

These days in Sydney are the occasion to meet Matt, one of my former american roomates in Detroit. That’s good to see him after almost 8 years. So random! Matt moved in Sydney a few weeks ago, and he saw on Facebook that we were wandering around. He immediately sent me a message and we managed to get some time to see each other again around a good ol’ german beer! It has been really great to see each other again, to remind us of old times, and to hear about the other roomates! This was too short, but we’ll certainly get to see him again because Matt is travelling a lot around Australia with his job, and also because we are planning to come back to Sydney in one month or two.

After this reunion, we are having dinner at Tetsuya’s. Before we left France, our friends have offered us a dinner in this restaurant. This is a gastronomic restaurant with japanese inspiration. The dinner was composed of 9 meals with the tasting of wines. Everything was amazingly delicious! Thanks a lot to all our friends!

Before leaving Sydney, we’ve walked once again in the streets of Sydney CBD, we’ve catched our train passes for the New Souths Wales area, and we’ve met Anais (a friend’s sister) who lives in Sydney and who has kindly received our mail while we were in NZ!

Now, it is time to go to Robertson for our first wwoofing experience in a farm where cider is produced!
